Monica Granados
Leadership Team,
PREreview
She is a member of the Leadership Team at PREreview, an open project with the mission to bring more equity and transparency to the evaluation of research content, giving systematically excluded researchers better ways to find, train, and contribute to scholarly peer review. During her Ph.D., Monica discovered that incentives in academia promote practices that make knowledge less accessible. Since then, Monica has devoted her career to working in the open science space in pursuit of making knowledge more equitable and accessible.
Monica is working at Creative Commons as the Open Climate Campaign manager promoting open access of climate and biodiversity research. She is also currently on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Open Data Society working to promote open data in Canada, a member of the 2022 Open Access Week Advisory Committee, and an alumna of the Frictionless Data Fellowship Programme.
